Some
years ago, the photographer Peter Menzel decided
to travel around the world and take photographs of 30 families from 24
countries. The idea was to photograph the families, and the food they would eat
that week, as well as taking note of the money each family would spend.
The book Menzel published is called Hungry Planet. I’d like you to pay attention to the differences between the families and the food they eat. Try to enumerate / describe what you see; stop the video with each of the slides. At the same time that you revise vocabulary, you’ll become aware of tremendous social differences.
